KunstFestSpiele celebrate their birthday

The KunstFestSpiele Herrenhausen invite you to their tenth birthday with free entry. Join us with your friends, children and relatives on the first festival Sunday for an all-day celebration of the arts. You can experience everything that distinguishes the KunstFestSpiele: theatre and music, film, dance and performance, tailor-made to the wonderful locations in Herrenhausen, lasting artistic impressions pushing boundaries and defying categories.
The programme on this 12th of May has been devised by the invited international artists. Between 2 p.m. and midnight they fill the entire area between the Palace, Galerie and Orangerie, and also make their way from the Nordstadt via Herrenhäuser Allee to the festival grounds. This tenth-anniversary celebration will be a day for both newcomers and aficionados, a day of unexpected encounters, a celebration for all Hanoverians and national and international guests. This event will still take place if it rains as well.
The installations Greenhouse - Ein Treibhaus für Bilder and Copy Service are publicly accessible during the birthday celebrations at their regular opening hours. Also, the symposium Institution Art festival will take place at Schloss Herrenhausen. At Kulturzentrum Faust Complete Works: Table Top Shakespeare will show their performances of ‘Julius Caesar‘, ‘King John‘, ‘Troilus and Cressida‘ and ‘Hamlet‘.
