Broken fax machines, CD players, inkjet printers, toasters, scanners, radio alarm clocks, hand mixers, desktops, hair dryers … homes are full of discarded electrical equipment. If you think this kind of scrap has no value, you should definitely pay a visit to the Arne Jacobsen Foyer.
Central to Paul Granjon’s Weird Machine Wrekshop are creativity and recycling. Together with children, young people, freaks, nerds and wannabees, the Gyro Gearloose of the British arts scene builds outlandish works of art from electronic castoffs. Motors, sensors, chips, microcontrollers and other still viable components are removed from the defective gadgets and co-opted, reclaimed and perhaps even upgraded into a sculpture that grows over a period of one week.
During the opening hours the audience is invited to collaborate on building this new work of art. The creativity of future generations of inventors is particularly in demand during our KinderKunstSpektakel. On three special dates people of different ages and interests have the opportunity to participate in thematic wrekshop workshops with Paul Granjon. At these times it is only possible to visit the installation. More details on the website.
