Latest update on the sound installation in the Great Garden

Please note that during the KunstFestSpiele festival, intense bass sounds will be audible and perceptible at certain times (see below) emanating from the sound installation BODIES AND SUBWOOFERS (B.A.S.) in the Rasengarten within the Großer Garten. The installation generates sound waves that can be felt by your body, alter air pressure and propagate differently throughout the space, in some cases over considerable distances.

Following feedback from the Herrenhäuser Gärten community, we have significantly reduced the intensity of the installation and shortened each performance to 8 minutes. We have also reduced the frequency; instead of taking place on the hour, performances will now be held at the following times.

As part of the KinderKunstSpektakel, we are showing a different version of Stefanie Egedy’s work, entitled Welcome 30hz, which is suitable for children.

  • Sat 23.5, 6 p.m. and.9:45 p.m. (Opening activation)
  • Sun 24.5 and Mon 25.5, 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m., 7 p.m. (Welcome 30hz)
  • Tue 26.5 to Tue 28.5 and Sun 31.5 to Sun 7.6 / 4 p.m., 5 p.m., 6 p.m., 7 p.m.
