Nobody who comes the KunstFestSpiele will want to miss the festival centre. Artists, audiences, visitors to the garden, the KunstFestSpiele team, young and old meet here in the open tent or on the lawn behind the wonderful lime tree. Here at the main entrance to the Herrenhausen Gardens, the festival provides good food and socialising in a convivial atmosphere.

Perhaps the best festival kitchen in Europe cooks and curates cuisine as a social event. The artist collective freitagsküche serves a wide range of delicious refreshments every day.

This year for the first time various initiatives, collectives, communities and projects from Hanover have been invited to become hosts on different festival days. So the festival centre’s menu will be oriented every day to a dish suggested by these local teams, who will also offer workshops and teaching formats in the afternoon programme. Hosting is understood here as hospitality and communication, the kitchen as hotspot.
